Since 2008, thanks to collaboration with a specialized operator, Fondapi has initiated a decisive investment activity that takes into account ESG sustainable investment principles.
The resources, workers’ contributions, are invested by international managers within a wide selection of stocks and bonds issued by companies and countries.
However, managers for security selection:
- also take into consideration compliance with environmental sustainability criteria (Environment), social (Social), and good governance (Governance);
- cannot invest in companies (approximately 6% of the total investable universe) that present the lowest levels of sustainability.
But what does
"sustainable investment" mean?
It involves integrating the analysis of economic-financial performance of securities with environmental, social and good governance analysis. Below are the main sustainability analysis criteria used by Fondapi.

The financial world increasingly agrees that integrating this type of analysis with financial analysis allows, over time, to reduce the risk of investments in less competitive companies, and therefore less profitable from an economic-financial standpoint.
